Indian authority approves Axis flight simulator

Civil aviation body and customer both very pleased with ATR FFS

July 2017 – India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation has given its approval to the Axis ATR full flight simulator. The DGCA found the simulator “outstanding” after functional testing and inspection.

The simulator has been taken into use by customer FTSC after a dedication ceremony. CEO Sanjay expressed great satisfaction with the commissioning process, saying “Installation went well and support was excellent. We are very happy.” The simulator, featuring a Moog 14t motion system and RSI Raster XT4 visual system, is in all-day use.

This was Axis’ first simulator sale to an Asian country. Axis CEO Niall Olver said,
“We are very pleased with the simulator’s reception in India. It is most gratifying to know that the design and build quality we put into our products is appreciated by users as well as approval authorities.”
