Lebring, Austria – 30 October 2018: AXIS Flight Training Systems, the independent flight simulator manufacturer, has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification for its quality management system (QMS).
ISO 9000 is an internationally recognised accreditation that outlines the requirements an organisation must maintain in its QMS. The ISO 9001:2015 certification is awarded to companies that can demonstrate its products and services maintain the uppermost quality. Various steps must be met before achieving the ISO accreditation such as a gap analysis report, training and internal audits. AXIS previously held an ISO 9001:2008 credential, the new certification is an advancement on the one formerly held.
TÜV Nord, one of the world’s leading technical service organisations, specialising in testing and product certification, inspections and auditing, and system certification, authorised the ISO 9001:2015 standard for AXIS Flight Training Systems.
Thomas Hörhan, Head of Project and Quality Management for AXIS Flight Training Systems in Austria says: “To achieve the ISO 9001:2015 certification, AXIS successfully met all requirements set by ISO through our continuous improvement within all our processes. We are excited to earn this certification, which provides our customers with additional assurance that our flight training simulators follow strict regulations set through our QMS.
“We are proud to be a part of a network of companies that follow the ISO standard. This is a great achievement for the company and I would like to thank everybody involved for achieving this widely-recognised stamp of approval.”
