Graz, Austria – 24 October 2019: AXIS Flight Training Systems, the independent full flight simulator manufacturer, is boosting business jet training in Europe with another new training device – a Cessna Citation CJ1+ full flight simulator at Aviation Academy Simulation, a subsidiary of Aviation Academy Austria.

The Citation CJ1+ light business jet simulator being installed will be EASA CS-FSTD(A) Level D certified, the highest industry standard for full flight simulators. It replicates a standard Citation CJ1+ and features a Rockwell Collins avionics system, Pro Line 21, rehosted by AXIS. The device further includes AXIS’ new Instructor Operating Station, equipped with a flight data recorder, as well as the company’s innovative Technical Monitoring and Control System, and upset prevention and recovery training.

The simulator comes complete with an Epic View Visual Display System from RSi. The Epic View combines a state-of-the-art RS200 Image Generator with a 10ft CrossView collimated optical system and the latest projector technology which is all integrated in AXIS TMCS. The simulator is also equipped with a Moog CLS and a fully electrical motion system. Its qualification as an EASA FFS Level D is scheduled for mid-November of this year.

Christian Theuermann, CEO, AXIS Flight Training Systems, says: “As demand for pilots across every aviation sector continues to rise, we are dedicated to working closely with our partners in the industry to ensure a new generation of highly trained pilots is ready to fly.
