For the next two days, we’re in Singapore at the Asia Pacific Airline Training Summit (APATS) 2019, the most influential training event in the region.

It’s always a pleasure to meet our aviation peers at these shows, sharing insights into the latest innovations and best practice from every corner of the globe. And, of course, to share a real Austrian coffee on our booth, #508!

This year’s show is all about the future. With Boeing’s new 2019-2038 forecast projecting 804,000 new civil aviation pilots will be needed to meet demand over the next 20 years, APATS’ pilot training conference is focused on issues of recruitment and diversity, as well as how to train better pilots, faster.

Here at AXIS, we maintain that technology will play an immeasurable role in ensuring there are enough pilots to meet demand. Immersive technologies, adaptive learning and new teaching methods will be underpinned by the efforts of tech-focused companies like ours.

It’s time for us all to step up and produce tomorrow’s solutions for today’s training. Visit us at booth #508 to chat further about how flight simulator technology will help us secure the future of aviation training.
