Debuting today at AERO Friedrichshafen, AX Aero Group is a new Zurich-based aviation technology business delivering an end-to-end corporate aviation solution, encompassing flight training, aircraft management and operations, simulation, technology and flight testing.

Led by industry veteran and former ExecuJet CEO Niall Olver, AX Aero Group unites six specialist, technology-based aviation companies — AXIS Aviation, AXIS Flight Simulation, Aeroset Flight Test, Propair Flight, AeronautX and AXIS Technologies.

The integrated structure makes it easier for customers to access tailored aviation services while navigating complex regulatory requirements. This includes pilot training and simulation programmes, flight testing and certification support for new aircraft, as well as real-time technical assistance and advanced flight planning tools for aircraft owners and operators.

Niall Olver, Chairman at AX Aero Group, says: “AX Aero Group has been created to make aviation services simpler, transparent and more effective. Too often, our customers are required to work with multiple providers across training, operations and technology, adding unnecessary complexity, cost and time.

“By combining these capabilities under one Group, we’re offering a more streamlined, end-to-end service, driven by technology. For example, pilots can train on full flight simulators that are built using real-world flight test data generated within the Group, ensuring a more accurate and consistent training experience.”

Christian Theuermann, member of the Executive Board at AXIS Flight Simulation, joins AX Aero Group as Director, overseeing group operations and financial strategy. Brad Nolan has been appointed Vice President, North America, driving the Group’s expansion across the region.

Theuermann adds: “AX Aero Group is the first European business of its kind to unite such an array of services in this way and across the aviation value chain. While each business will continue to operate independently, the Group strengthens their collective market position and creates a more compelling offering.

“Ultimately, this is about giving customers better access to expertise, technology and innovation, while simultaneously enhancing value. We already work with clients globally and see strong momentum for growth as we continue to expand our capabilities.”
