1. Data processed

We process various categories of your personal data, which are dependent on whether you visit our website, whether you subscribe to our newsletter, whether you agree to the use of cookies and which you allow, or if you enter into a business relationship with us.

1.1 Data processed when you visit our website

You can visit our website without providing any information about yourself, and we only save the initial access data in a log. We understand initial access data to mean the date and time of access, the IP address in anonymous form (the last three digits are not displayed), the session ID, the pages accessed on our website and for how long it was accessed, the name of the website from which our website was accessed and information about the browser used. We evaluate this data to improve our website- Other data may be used to analyse your user patterns. You can also disable the storage of this data via opt-out.

1.2 Processed data with consent to cookies

If you agree to the use of cookies, note that each cookie processes different data about you (e.g. IP address, location, browser language, user behaviour, etc.). You can find more detailed information about the cookies we use under Section 8 of this Data Privacy Policy and in our Cookie Policy.

1.3 Processed data when contacting us

If you contact us by e-mail or a contact form on the website, we will log the date and time of receipt, the sender and recipient, and the subject line if it is an e-mail. The data you give us will be stored for processing of the request and in the event of follow-up questions, and transferred to the responsible department, but only within AXIS Flight Training GmbH.

1.4 Processed data for business relationship

Customers are persons purchase an AXIS product. Vendors and external service providers are persons who provide products or services to the company and invoice them accordingly. Both enter into a business relationship with AXIS. For this purpose personal data will be processed for marketing and order handling purposes. Interested parties are persons who are interested in an AXIS product and/or service and wish to be updated regularly. For this purpose personal data will be processed for marketing purposes. The consent of the customer / interested party forms the legal basis for processing personal data.

In addition, we will assign you an internal customer or supplier number. Your data will be stored as long as is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or the performance of pre-contractual measures. If your personal data is processed by our accounting system, as in the case of a contract being concluded, it will be stored until the end of the prescribed period under the statutory obligations of retention. Per applicable tax regulations this period is 7 years. For the purposes of product liability, we store selected data (name, address, goods and date) for 10 years.

1.5 Data processing when applying for a job

Applicants are all persons who apply for a vacant position in the company or by means of an unsolicited application. By submitting your application to us, you agree that the data collected as part of the application and the data contained in the documents sent with the application, as well as data obtained in the course of any interview (hereinafter collectively referred to as “data”) may be stored by AXIS in an applicant database for the purpose of coordinating and processing the application.

2. Period of retention

In principle, we only store your data for as long as it is needed. By default, your data is stored as long as specified in the respective sections. In individual cases, however, a shorter or longer retention period may apply, e.g. due to legal obligations that AXIS must comply with.

3. Purpose of processing

We process the data collected from you primarily for the purpose of contract fulfilment or to carry out pre-contractual procedures. Furthermore, we are subject to statutory obligations to process data, e.g. for reasons of applicable tax and commercial law provisions, as well as anti-corruption and anti-money laundering regulations. We process data, such as your name and e-mail address, that you have voluntarily made available to us, on the basis of your consent or our legitimate interest for the purpose of customer service, for our own advertising purposes, such as sending out promotional offers, advertising brochures and newsletters (in paper and electronic form), as well as for the purpose of referring to an existing or previous business relationship with the customer (reference notice). Such data processing takes place on the basis of the applicable statutory provisions as well as on the basis of your consent and for the purpose of fulfilling the contract.

4. Our principles in connection with the processing of your personal data

It is important to us that we comply fully with all statutory data protection regulations. Your personal data is processed on the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the national laws derived from it. Your personal data is secure with us. Your data will not be sold, loaned or rented by us or transferred to third parties in any manner or form, without your express consent. In certain cases, however, your personal data will be transferred to contract data processors, if they provide sufficient guarantee of lawful and secure use of data and if they are contractually obligated to comply with the principles described in this Data Privacy Policy and statutory regulations. We reserve the right to transfer your personal data to another company as part of business restructuring or company mergers, provided that this company undertakes to comply with our principles in connection with the processing of personal data and has its registered office either within the European Union or in a third country with appropriate data protection. We limit our data processing to a necessary and reasonable extent. We also explain to you the purpose for we collect and process your data. If your personal data is no longer required for use, it will be deleted.

5. Analysis tools and advertising

5.1 Google Tag Manager

We use the Google Tag Manager. The provider Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”)

The Google Tag Manager is a tool that allows us to integrate tracking or statistical tools and other technologies on our website. The Google Tag Manager itself does not create any user profiles, does not store cookies, and does not carry out any independent analyses. It only manages and runs the tools integrated via it. However, the Google Tag Manager does collect your IP address, which may also be transferred to Google’s parent company in the United States.

5.3 Google Ads

Formation of Target Groups with Customer Reconciliation

For the formation of target groups, we use, among other things, the Google Ads Remarketing customer reconciliation feature. To achieve this, we transfer certain customer data (e.g., email addresses) from our customer lists to Google. If the respective customers are Google users and are logged into their Google accounts, matching advertising messages within the Google network (e.g., YouTube, Gmail or in a search engine) are displayed for them to view.

5.5 LinkedIn Insight Tag

This website uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag, a web analysis service of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (hereinafter referred to as "LinkedIn"), Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, on the legal basis of pursuing our overriding legitimate interests (website usage analysis) pursuant to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 

When visiting our website, software establishes a connection and transmits data to LinkedIn servers, some of which are located in the USA. The LinkedIn Insight Tag also uses cookies to store information about website users and to analyze visitors' use of the website.

6. Youtube

Videos may also be embedded in our web presence, which are provided by the platform “YouTube”, represented by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”).

Usually, your IP address is already sent to YouTube and cookies are installed on your computer when you access a page with embedded videos. However, we have embedded our YouTube videos with the enhanced data protection mode (in this case YouTube still contacts the service DoubleClick by Google, but personal data is not collected according to the data privacy statement of Google). YouTube does not store information about users unless users actually watch the video. When you click on the video, your IP address is transmitted to YouTube and YouTube learns that you have seen the video. If you are logged in to YouTube, this information will be associated with your user account (you can prevent this by logging out of YouTube prior to accessing the video on YouTube). We have no knowledge and cannot exert any influence on the potential collection and usage of your data by YouTube. 7. Online presence in social media besides Facebook and YouTube

 We maintain an online presence within social networks and platforms in order to be able to communicate with active users, interested parties and customers. When calling up these networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and data processing regulations of the respective operators apply. Unless otherwise stated within the context of our data privacy statement, we process the data of users when they communicate with us through social networks and platforms.

Our website uses cookies to collect personal data, as well as standard internet log data and information on the behavioural patterns of users when visiting our website.
