This clean design provides more accessibility for maintenance, and its modularity simplifies upgrades and customization.

Instructor Operating Station

Our simulators have a forward-facing, electrically movable, highly ergonomic IOS (Instructor Operating Station) with two horizontal 20″ 16:9 full HD touchscreen displays. The GUI minimizes instructor workload during training sessions. Control of the training session and all other systems is at the instructor’s fingertips, including motion, visual, oxygen, audio, and air conditioning.

VISUAL AND MISSION
SYSTEMS

Our high-fidelity visual system creates an immersive environment for day, dusk and night operations. Detailed terrain and visual databases support VFR and IFR training, including hospital sites, offshore platforms, confined areas and other demanding landing environments.

Dynamic effects such as brownout, whiteout and rotor-affected vegetation enhance realism close to the ground. Optional mission scenarios can support HEMS, offshore, search-and-rescue, NVG, hoist, external-load and searchlight operations, depending on the selected configuration.

Technical Monitoring and Control System

The AXIS Technical Monitoring and Control System or TMCS reflects our dedication to simulator availability. It drastically reduces maintenance time, and provides easy access to all information on simulator status, hardware, and IT components, plus an extensive knowledge base. Maintenance agility is outstanding, since TMCS can run on any mobile device via WiFi. Remote support by AXIS is also available through TMCS.

Robustness by Design
- The replication of the cockpit with OEM-quality simulated aircraft parts together with software-based avionics simulations allows considerable use of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) parts, and assures the highest working reliability with the lowest maintenance costs throughout the simulator‘s lifecycle.
Motion System
- The latest 60-inch stroke 6 DOF fully electric motion system and vibration platform, with less maintenance than any other system in the industry
Visual System
- 240x 80-degree collimated visual system with a fully textured day/dusk/night compatible database + stimulated NVG simulation.
- High-resolution digital up to 16-channel direct digital projection system with spherical geometric correction, raster light point capability and the latest lightweight LED DLP projection technology for long-term display stability as well as the highest reliability and lowest maintenance.

Axis 3D Sound
- AXIS incorporates high-fidelity 7.1 sound systems into its simulators. This is an industry-leading innovative implementation. Aircraft and environmental sounds are simulated for real noise and sound perception. Sounds initiated by technical failures or weather conditions, such as engine failure, rain or hail are also simulated.
Automatic eQTG
- With fully automated self-testing capability and automated protocol creation for initial and re-qualification in compliance with ARINC Standard 436
- Includes automated creation of eQTG documention ready to be forwarded to authorities
- No external sensor mounting is required prior to QTG testing, since all sensors are permanently installed
Low Maintenance
- Unique central maintenance panel for complete simulator observation and primary access for all maintenance issues
- AXIS’ industry-leading online interfaces are a new paradigm on connectivity and factory support for the fastest possible, highest level response to any given variation
- Remote maintenance and software updates via secure internet access minimize intervention and downtime
- For the easiest panel change, for aircraft type conversion or maintenance, each intelligent panel is connected by one single communication connector and one power supply connector
Ease of Operation
- Each morning, the simulator automatically conducts self-testing. If it detects an issue it informs the maintenance personal, for example by text message, so that problems can be dealt with before the start of the day’s operations
- Since all sensors for testing are permanently installed in the simulator, it can run almost all annual re-qualification tests automatically, and generate completed eQTG documents that can be submitted directly to authorities

Own state of the art flight data/aerodynamic models available
- Developed and continuously refined in-house, our aerodynamic models accurately replicate aircraft performance, handling characteristics, and environmental effects across the entire flight envelope. This enables highly realistic pilot training, system validation, and mission rehearsal without dependence on third-party model providers.
NVG Training
