Turning Real-World Flight Data into Immersive Training Solutions

AXIS Flight Simulation was recently featured by the Styrian Business Promotion Agency (SFG, highlighting its approach to developing high-fidelity flight simulator systems for modern pilot training applications. 

AXIS Flight Simulation develops advanced Full Flight Simulator solutions for aircraft manufacturers, operators, and training organisations worldwide. 

A key differentiator in AXIS’s work is its use of proprietary flight-test data to build and validate aircraft models, ensuring highly accurate simulation behaviour for training purposes. 

To generate these datasets, AXIS conducts dedicated flight-test campaigns in which aircraft are equipped with measurement systems and flown under real operating conditions. The recorded data is then directly integrated into simulator model development. 

One example is the development of a Level D simulator for a King Air research aircraft, where required manufacturer data was not available in suitable form. AXIS addressed this by running a dedicated flight-test programme, enabling the creation of a validated simulation model used for realistic and repeatable pilot training.
